Mission Statement

Since 1999, the Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation has enhanced the health and well-being of the Lancaster County community. Founded on the osteopathic tradition of compassionate, patient-centered wellness, the Foundation builds the holistic health of our community by investing in people and programs that provide health care and health education to Lancaster's children, especially the underserved.   The Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation has a holistic concern for the identity and well-being of the osteopathic profession in Lancaster, the promotion of preventive care and self-healing practices and the health of the Lancaster community, particularly the children. The Foundation seeks collaborative partnerships to improve the health and welfare of children specifically with community organizations, schools and other foundations.

Grant Application

The Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation strongly encourages applicants to read the grant guidelines page of the website and review the basics of their grant proposal with the foundation staff in advance of submission.

Please submit two copies of your grant application and supporting documents:  one copy by e-mail to info@lohfoundation.org, and one copy by mail to:

2011 grant deadlines are January 15, March 15, May 15, and September 15. Grants received after one deadline will automatically receive consideration at the next deadline. Applicants will receive an e-mail or telephone communication verifying receipt of their grant application. Generally, timely grant applications will receive final determination within three to six months of submission.

Please note that the Foundation is only able to fund grant requests that improve the health and wellness of Lancaster County by focusing on the following areas:

• Children's Health & Wellness
• Osteopathic Medicine

Grants awarded in the past have ranged from $2,000 to $25,000.
